My art, my very life, is that which blooms through all odds. The trauma of losing my mother and brother to suicide, being adopted, having difficulty connecting and learning, deep shame and feeling unworthy are all weights I’ve carried. I create because it teaches me how to love myself more, as I explore my shadows and express those tender and ancient places within that yearn to be seen I heal and free painful energy.
This work is for those who yearn to break from the cycle of survival so they can create and share their story as medicine unto themselves and the world.
I am a Dania Beach based mixed media self taught artist that has been making art throughout my life but more seriously the last 7 years. My art is often surreal and centers around ‘remembering our nature’ as I blend elements of nature, sacred geometry and human figures to make viewers question how they connect and interact with their inner and outer world. I am Native American, African American and Irish and I weave codes, messages and the spirit of my ancestors into each piece I make.
